Acne
Facts and myths about acne
Acne vulgaris is the most commonly diagnosed long-term skin condition. The onset usually occurs during puberty and the accompanying hormone fluctuations. This condition affects approximately 85–100% of people between the ages of 11 and 30, which means that virtually everyone has experienced or will experience acne. The peak incidence is between the ages of 15 and 17 in women and between the ages of 16 and 19 in men. However, it is also increasingly common to see those over 25 years of age struggle with adult acne.
